only at the first transition already sounds pretty good, really groovy, nice smooth drummy tunes, ive been playing a lot of progressive lately, this is good motivation for me to play more techy in my next recording, you used to the pitch control yet?
Yeah I practised a lot and now I don't have many problems with hearing which track has a higher and a lower bpm
so beatmatching goes very well. There's something difficult and that's to get both tracks exactly on beat, so you put the kicks on the kicks you know. But I think I did that pretty good in this mix. I just want to be critical so I can get better and better. In my opinion mixes are hardly perfect. And yes Jay lumen tracks are always groovey. They're always nice to mix in;-)

getting the 2 tracks synced can be pretty difficult, but keep practicing and eventually youll start to sync em perfectly, which gives more time for effect and eq, i hate that theres an ocean splitting me from you guys, i have like no dj friends in the us

http://soundcloud.com/bastianross/july-2012-mix I think I get better in djing, I hope you guys can give me some feedback and tips! I would like to learn more about creating a better mixtape;-) What do you think of this one? Don't pay too much attention on the effects, I don't have an expensive mixer and just did something with my cdj's 400.
